Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

The Motofx remote garage door opener is specifically designed for use on small vehicles with 12 volt electrical systems, including motorcycles.  The product is available from Motofx; it costs $74.95 (plus shipping); and it works with most modern garage door openers (see compatibility list below). It activates by pressing the “flash to pass” switch on the Triumph’s clutch …

Triumph Motorcycle Ignition Coil Replacement Hinckley Triumph motorcycle owners have been complaining about ignition coil failures since, well, probably since the first Bloor Triumph sputtered off the assembly line. This is Part 1 of this two-part series, which describes an ignition coil replacement on a Thunderbird Sport. Part 2, Triumph Motorcycle Ignition Coil Replacement describes a slightly …

Hinckley Triumph motorcycle owners have been complaining about ignition coil failures. In Triumph Ignition Coil Replacement Part 1 of this two-part series, we described a coil replacement on a Triumph Thunderbird Sport. Note that these tips can apply to most modern Triumphs and other brands of motorcycles. After riding for roughly thirty minutes to an hour, the …

SW-Motech Wide Off-Road Foot Pegs For The Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS Continuing with the farkling of the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS (Blog), I decided to add a set of SW-Motech wide foot pegs just to see what would happen. There’s nothing wrong with the stock foot pegs on the bike, although wider may be better if you’re …

Stainless Steel Brake Line Upgrade (Redux) We bring all of our senses to task when riding a motorcycle — with the possible exception of taste! — to operate the machines below us and maintain a certain level of safety. It’s as if we become part of that machine in some manner; there’s a constant flow …

Ducati Evaporative Emissions Canister The evaporative emissions canister mounted on modern Ducati motorcycles is, in a word, ugly. I have no idea why they mounted it in such an obvious and noticeable location on the left-hand side of the motorcycle, hanging off the engine in a location that’s as obvious as a wart on a …

DuPont Motorcycle Chain Lubes   Summary The formula for the DuPont Multi-Use Dry, Wax Lubricant chain lube, which was a favorite for many years, has been changed. The new formula is no longer recommended by DuPont for motorcycle chain lubrication and it has dropped off our favorite list also. The company now recommends the DuPont …

Pressure is Pleasure: Compressed Air for the Custovation Shop My love affair with compressed air started a number of years ago when I got an entry level oil-less air compressor for Christmas. Looking like a bloated red fire hydrant lying on its side, it made a deafening noise while it crawled its way to 125 PSI. …

MachineArt Moto Avant Review The MachineArt Moto Avant fender extender is the newest member of the MudSling family.
