The CEO Hints It Will Happen

Husqvarna has had a couple of good years recently. The KTM-owned company has some new bikes and a reasonable amount of buzz around them and the brand in general. It will be interesting to see how it develops over time and adds more products.

KTM’s CEO Stefan Pierer recently did an interview with the publication Speedweek. In that interview, he suggested that he wants the motorcycle company to become bigger and expressed interest in helping it do that by adding racing back into to Husqvarna’s future.

I want to become the second largest motorcycle manufacturer in Europe with Husqvarna in the next three or four years … On the off-road it works perfectly, and our two brands compete with each other. Why not do it also in Moto3 or Moto2? It would be perfectly logical. It would make a lot of sense for the knowledge of the brand.

As MoreBikes points out, the brand did this already back in 2014 and 2015. The addition of racing in Moto2 or Moto3 would really be a return to form. It would also probably do wonders to help Husqvarna continue its positive momentum. I’d love to see Husqvarna get back to racing in Moto2 and Moto3.
