2020 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC
Contents
The 2020 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC is an interesting motorcycle, coming from the strangest of marriages. The styling, frame, and most of the equipment from the Street Scrambler. The engine from the Bonneville T120. Put them together, and you have the Scrambler 1200.
The Scrambler 1200 XC gets the 1200cc parallel twin that all Bonnevilles use, tuned to produce 90 HP and 81 lbs-ft of torque. The XC in the name is what specifies this Scrambler as a city bike that can venture off road if it needs to. However, where this little monster is happiest is on the tarmac, carving corners, hopping over a dirt road or two, and then still being civilized enough for your commute on Monday.
Showa upside down front forks and Ohlins adjustable rear suspension speaks to the XC’s sporty nature, and front and back Brembo brakes solidify its capabilities. Rider mode select and a full TFT digital dash bring the XC into the modern age of city scrambling, and it couldn’t be happier doing it.
The 2020 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC starts at $14,000 US/$15,200 CDN.
