2020 Yamaha TW200

The 2020 Yamaha TW200 is a strange but successful motorcycle, having been in production since 1987. Throughout that storied history, the same engine has been used with only a few modifications, a 196cc 2 valve single that produces 16 crank HP and 11 lbs-ft of crank torque. Of those modifications, the most significant was in 2001 when an electronic starter was added, removing the need for kickstarts.

The other major engine modification was the introduction of a counterbalancer inside the engine to reduce vibrations through the frame and into the rider. Apart from that, the 2020 TW200 is another of those dual-sport bikes that is at home on the road and on the dirt, although Yamaha themselves state that it’s meant more for the road than dirt.

The 2020 Yamaha TW200 starts at $4,599 US/$5,399 CA.
