A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

Protection for Oilheads I’ve never had a bad experience with a MachineArt Moto product. And the new X-Head DOHC cylinder head guards keep that record intact. Designed for the BMW R1200RT engine, they add virtually nothing in way of weight. But they add everything in way of protection and looks. Once again, timing is everything. …

Fly “Trekker” Helmet Review The Fly Trekker Dual Sport helmet looks the part and it feels solid and well made. The helmet has a comfortable fit and the price is reasonable. But — the Trekker has three issues, one of which may be a deal-killer. Read on… Fly Racing may not be a familiar name …

The Leatt STX Neck Brace The Leatt STX Road Brace is designed for street use. Worn over clothing, it helps prevent rider neck injuries. OK, so it may look a bit strange and perhaps even complicated. But it’s surprisingly easy to wear, requires no maintenance and it’s nearly unnoticeable to the rider. The new Leatt …

Falco 480 “Raid” Boots Review Style, protection, function and comfort are key descriptors that come to mind when assessing the Falco 480 RAID motorcycle boots. Getting in and out of the boots via two strategically-placed straps and large over-flap couldn’t be easier. These boots reflect the high standards maintained by Falco and will undoubtedly provide …

Ultra-Powerful Road Blasters! The Clearwater Krista lights use the latest generation of LEDs for retina-melting power at minimum draw. The light output can be varied by turning a rotating dial or the lights can be turned off completely. The quality of construction, mounting hardware and the light output are outstanding. In the 12 or so …

Dainese “Carbon Cover” Gloves Review The Dainese Carbon Cover gloves are new for 2011. They are located somewhere near the middle of the massive 2011 Dainese glove range in both price and features and they’re a solid choice for street riding. I especially like the comfort that is provided by the thoughtful fit and fingertip construction. The …

3BR Weatherproof Power Ports, Cables and Connectors 12V or 5V DC water-resistant power ports to keep your mounted and portable accessories juiced up and functioning while on the road. Sometimes a plan just comes together and when it does, it’s good — really good. Last fall as I started to develop the winter maintenance and …

Spartan Leathers “Charge” 2.0 Leather Suit Review The Spartan Leathers “Charge” suit is available as a one- or two-piece versions. The leather is as supple as I’ve ever felt and the suit feels perfectly broken in from day one. High quality stitching and construction compliment the soft leather. The pants have large sections of elastic …

The Vemar Jiano Solid but heavy, the Vemar Jiano doesn’t evolve the species. But it is reasonably priced and carries an excellent warranty. The Vemar Jiano was announced at this year’sPowersports Dealer Expo in Indianapolis (article) back in February. Rick wrote a “First Look” report that generated a lot of interest from webBikeWorld visitors. The emails have been …

AFX FX-95 Helmet Review The FX-95 is the top-of-the-line helmet in the AFX 2011 lineup. It has an improved face shield and rotator and the helmet now meets both DOT and ECE 22.05 safety standards. AFX FX-90 Helmet Review The FX-90 is the entry level full-face helmet in the AFX 2011 lineup. It’s an excellent value with very good quality and a very comfortable liner. Ventilation is better than expected and beats quite a few helmets costing a lot more. The FX-90 also meets both DOT and ECE 22.05 safety …

Motorcycle Horn Comparison Redux Hella does it again with a 115 dB rated disk-type or diaphragm “pancake” horn. They’re not pretty, but the slim size fits where others won’t. Pair up the high and low tones for a particularly obnoxious and attention-getting sound. This didn’t start out as anything like a Part 2 of our …
