Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

Airoh Aviator Helmet Review The Airoh Aviator is said to be the world’s lightest off-road helmet. We’ll go one better than that: the Aviator is by far the lightest helmet ever reviewed on webBikeWorld, and we’ve reviewed more than 200 in the last 13+ years. The Aviator feels like it’s packed with helium, no doubt …

The Vemar “Geo” Helmet The new 2012 Vemar Geo is a new mid-range helmet. It features a “Tricomposite” shell with an angular design. The intake and exhaust vent styling also makes the Geo stand out from the crowd. The ventilation and visibility are good. And the internal sun visor has about the best coverage of …

REV’IT! Athos vs. Oxford Bright Top Reflective Vest Review The Rev’it Athos Air and the Oxford Bright Top Active reflective vests are excellent examples of lightweight comfortable hi-viz garments that won’t impede while greatly enhancing comfort. Both vests are excellent examples of hi-visibility Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The Rev’it Athos Air has higher quality overall …

Randolph Engineering Aviator Eyeglasses and Clip-ons Review Why didn’t I buy these years ago? The classic Randolph Engineering Aviator eyeglasses work in every type of motorcycle helmet I’ve tried. If you’re an avid motorcyclist and eyeglass wearer, they are well worth the money. I’m a life-long eyeglass wearer and I’ve been riding motorcycles since…well, let’s …

Teiz Motorsports “Mojave” Mesh Suit The Teiz Motorsports Mojave one-piece mesh motorcycle riding suit is comfortable in warm to hot riding conditions. It is made from 500 denier Cordura and 600 denier mesh with CE-approved armor throughout. It also incorporates a removable thermal and water-proof liner, all at a very competitive price. Teiz Motorsports has just …

Alpinestars Cape Town Air Drystar Jacket The Alpinestars Cape Town Air Drystar jacket is both unique and unusual. It’s a 3/4-length jacket but the outer shell is mostly mesh. A Drystar waterproof membrane removable liner is included. The Cape Town Air is very comfortable, with a correct shape and enough adjustments to custom fit anyone. It also …

Excellent Quality Video With Mounting Issues The brand new JVC GC-XA1 is also our new class leader for motorcycle “action” camera video quality. The video it takes is sharp and very nicely exposed, with smooth gradations and good response times when moving back and forth in shadows and light. The camera is also very easy …

More Motorcycle Video Camera Mounts Four more suction cup mounts that just don’t work very well for motorcycle video cameras. Someday, hopefully, someone will develop a better solution for mounting a camera on a helmet or bike. Motorcycle video camera manufacturers just don’t get it. Making a great little camera isn’t enough — if it …

1156 LED Bulb Replacement Choices 1156 incandescent bulbs work just fine, thank you. But for the inveterate farkler, everything and anything can and should be improved, changed or customized. That’s where the 18 LED “Tower” style LED bulb replacements come in. It’s a ridiculously expensive modification that is also completely unnecessary and, as we learned, …

The U.S. Version of the SCHUBERTH S2 The SCHUBERTH S2 is now available in North America with DOT homologation. The helmet is nearly identical to the ECE version of theSCHUBERTH S2 (review) we reviewed in May 2012. The weight has gone up slightly for the DOT version but otherwise, it’s the same outstanding helmet, with many …

Pop ‘n’ Drop With the Helite “Turtle” Airbag Vest The Helite “Turtle” airbag vest is a high-quality protective device designed for motorcycle use. It is the only airbag vest currently made that has been tested to and meets CE approval. The Turtle (also called the Airnest) airbag vest also includes a CE-rated Knox back protector …

AGV Sport “Breeze” is Breezy The AGV Sport Breeze jacket is a refreshingly simple and stylish jacket made from very soft and plush-feeling leather. Large sections of the leather are perforated, which gives the jacket excellent ventilation. All-around comfort and light weight make the Breeze a perfect “no polymer” alternative to textile mesh. The AGV …

BikeComm Hola Motorcycle Intercom Review Part 3: Hola Intercom Ride Report As a long-term effort there has been lots of opportunity to use all of the Hola systems with different helmets while riding different motorcycles under differing riding conditions. The first thing that needs to be mentioned is how much the firmware updates and upgraded …

Does the DR650 Need a Fork Brace? The SuperBrace Fork Brace is relatively easy to install on the DR650. The manufacturer claims it can reduce low- and high-speed wobbles, improve stability and reduce tire cupping. It is also supposed to help reduce sensitivity to rain grooves in the pavement. We haven’t noticed any of these …

FandyFire UV-S5 LED Flashlight Review The FandyFire UV-S5 is a 3,000 lumen beast. It’s more flashlight than anyone needs, proving that more isn’t always better. But, it’s cheap enough, so if you want ultimate bragging rights, this is the light to have. One thing’s for sure: the FandyFire UV-S5 makes every other flashlight — and …
