Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

BikeComm Group Intercom Communications System Review The BikeComm BK02 delivers on its promises in a big way. It provides wireless shared stereo audio to rider and passenger while hosting a variety of wired and wireless peripherals including two-way radios. The BK02 package may seem expensive, but in comparing the sum of all its parts, it …

Continental “ContiRoadAttack 2 CR” Tires Dominate Classic Racing December 2, 2012 – Motorcycle race teams using Continental tires won all classic races of the 2012 racing season. The ContiRoadAttack 2 CR becomes the favorites’ tire. Continental’s winning streak at this year’s classic motorcycle races was crowned by another win at the last race of 2012, the Bol …

Icon PDX vs. Teknic Tornado Motorcycle Gloves This is a comparison of inexpensive (sub-$60) textile waterproof gloves for cold weather riding: the Icon PDX vs. Teknic Tornado. There’s a clear winner here…but only if you’re counting features. That feature leader unfortunately has a fatal flaw though: a leaky thumb. It could be just a rare …

Innovative Motorcycle Tie-Down Strap The Acebikes Tyre Fix motorcycle tie-down strap is a completely different system to secure a motorcycle on a trailer. It’s very well made, with heavy-duty components. The flexible tire gripper fits over the front or rear tire to hold the motorcycle securely on the trailer. If it fits your bike, it’s …

BMW C 650 GT Adjustable Backrest Here’s a quick look at the adjustable backrest on the C 650 GT. It has three bolts underneath and three adjustment points. The adjustment is made but changing the bolts underneath the seat. The backrest moves forward about 50 mm total, so there isn’t much adjustment. I’m 5’10” (183 …

BMW C 650 GT Battery and SAE Battery Tender Harness The new BMW C 650 GT scooter is covered in hectares of good-looking plastic. So where’d they bury the battery? And how about the engine? The latter will be explored in an upcoming article, but for now, it’s easy enough to find the former. Here’s how… …

Firstgear Jaunt T2 Jacket Review The newly revised Firstgear Jaunt T2 jacket could very well be the best 3/4-length motorcycle jacket bargain going today. Everyone who has seen it has been impressed, because there’s a lot here for not a lot of money. In fact, it pretty much beats all of our old favorite “cheap” jackets. …

Mobile Warming “Longmen” Shirt and “Softshell” Heated Vest Review The Mobile Warming “Longmen” battery heated shirt is a comfortable base layer with heating elements along the upper back and upper chest. The “Softshell” heated vest is also comfortable and stylish; almost too nice to wear under a motorcycle jacket! Both products seem very well made, …

Outstanding Video With the GoPro Quirks The new GoPro Hero3 delivers the goods, no doubt about it. In fact, we named it our Motorcycle Action Camera of the Year for 2012. The Hero3 Black Edition has the best video quality by far of any motorcycle video camera we’ve reviewed. That’s the good news. Not all is rosy, …

Better Speakers and a Mini Amplifier for Helmets “Like having a concert hall in your helmet” isn’t far from the truth when describing the Tork XPro speakers. They deliver, with louder volumes than any of the stock motorcycle intercom speakers we have tried. Of course, more isn’t always better when it comes to decibels. The …

HJC RPHA Max Helmet Review The HJC RPHA Max is a new flip-up helmet with a strange name and convoluted product release. Fortunately, the helmet is a winner. It has solid construction, tight tolerances and excellent ventilation, along with excellent noise control. Is it worth $160.00 more than the competition…which happens to be a close …

The Gorilla 8007 Motorcycle Alarm The Gorilla 8007 Alarm system is basic on features and offers good (or loud) bang for the buck. Its simple and straightforward design make installation easy once it is determined where to locate the system. Motorcycles come and go for many owners. The reasons vary; a new bike means the …

Wear This Shirt on Every Ride The Forcefield Body Armour Pro Shirt is a surprisingly comfortable way to get your full dose of protection.
