Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

Sena SMH10R Bluetooth Intercom Review The Sena SMH10R Bluetooth headset is a very different type of motorcycle helmet intercom system. Instead of the traditional single intercom module that attaches to a helmet mount, the SMH10R intercom functions are split across two separate modules. One module houses the Bluetooth “brains” and the rider control buttons, and …

Vertix Raptor-i Intercom Review Redux As Derryn stated in his original review of the Vertix Raptor-i “…it delivers all of the features expected of a ‘new generation’ Bluetooth device at a competitive price.” I can’t and won’t argue with that assessment, but I can expand on it. The Raptor-i has all of the good stuff, …

Rukka “Vauhti” Gloves Review The Rukka Vauhti gloves have “adventure tech” styling and a boatload of features that make them a contender. The short-gauntlet glove body is topped off with Superfabric, carbon fiber and TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) sliders and a Gore-Tex X-Trafit liner. That’s right — the Vauhti gloves are waterproof! While the Gore-Tex membrane may hinder …

Cardo Scala Rider Q1 and Q3 Music Sharing Intercoms Announced UPDATE: Cardo Scala Rider Q1 and Q3 Review May 1, 2013 – Cardo Systems, Inc. has announced two all-new additions to its Scala Rider product line: the rider-to-passenger Q1 TeamSet and the bike-to-bike capable Q3 MultiSet and Q3 Single. Replacing the popular Solo, TeamSet and Q2Pro products, …

Lazer Monaco Helmet Review (DOT Version) The new DOT version of the carbon-fiber Lazer Monaco gives up nothing on the excellent ECE version of the Lazer Monaco we reviewed in 2012. It’s nearly as light, with this size XL DOT version easily sliding in as the second lightest flip-up motorcycle helmet ever reviewed on webBikeWorld. And …

Airoh “Trr” Trials Helmet Review The Airoh Trr is a super-lightweight Trials helmet. But don’t let the word “Trials” put you off. This is a nice choice for off-road, slow-speed plinking, plunking and adventuring, especially in hot weather. The ultra-light shell feels incredibly sturdy, especially surprising for an open-face helmet type. It’s very stiff, with …

Motorola MU350R Bluetooth Two-Way Radio Announced April 18, 2013 – Motorola announced a potential game-changer: the Motorola MU350 and MU350R (kit of two radios) Talkabout Bluetooth two-way “walkie-talkie” radio. Available in summer of 2013, the MU350R is claimed to have built-in Bluetooth. This could mean that you could pair it with your Bluetooth motorcycle intercom …

A Handy Mil-Style Mini LED Flashlight The Fenix MC11 is a small “L” shaped mini-tactical style angle-head flashlight. It’s very well made and IP8 waterproof rated down to 2 meters. It also has three brightness levels and two special modes: SOS and strobe. The three levels provide a choice of illumination and the potential of …

Airoh “Terminator” Helmet Review The Airoh Aviator (review) has a firm lock on the lightweight helmet category. But the 2013 Airoh Terminator is nearly as light as the high-tech Aviator yet it costs about 25% less. You’ll give up a few of the leading edge race-oriented features from the Aviator, but you’d have to be a Pro …

Rukka “Airway” Jacket Review The Rukka Airway jacket and AirVision pants combo is designed for hot-weather riding. But unlike most mesh motorcycle clothing, this gear is built to take all you can dish out — and then some. The Airway/AirVision outfit is more successful in many ways than the Rukka Armas outfit (review), which is designed for cooler …

Excellent HD Video Choice The Midland XTC-300 VP4 continues Midland’s tradition for ease of use, now in HD. The XTC-300 has surprisingly good video for a camera in this price range The colors are very accurate and the exposure is perfect in daytime lighting conditions. The camera also couldn’t be easier to use, with its …

Rukka “AirVision” Pants Review The Rukka AirVision pants are, of course, the perfect match the Rukka Airway jacket, reviewed in Part 1. The pants could be worn with other Rukka jackets or with jackets from other manufacturers, although that doesn’t seem likely. The AirVision pants have the same Cordura AFT mesh fabric as the Airway jacket …

Sliders 4.0 Jeans Durable motorcycle jeans with some nice extra features but be careful choosing a size. Motorcyclists have been wearing jeans long before any denim blues were designed specifically for riding. The thought was that denim was tough and comfortable and in many job situations this held true. However, it didn’t take long for …

Sliders Cargo Pants Purpose-built motorcycling pants thinly disguised as regular cargo pants. I have reviewed several different motorcycle pants and jeans through the years. But some of them are not specifically designed as motorcycle riding apparel. For example, see my Cortech and Carhartt jeans review. Or my Duluth Firehose Logging Pants review. Those are both pretty popular …

Italian Scooter Print Drop-Seat Fleece “Onesie” Riding Suit Review Maxi-scooters are so comfortable that riding one can feel almost like being in bed, so why not dress appropriately? This one-piece suit from Footie Factory is soft, comfortable, and features a striking and elegant pattern of little scooters — perfect! Design and Construction First impressions were …
