Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

A Rugged/Sweet Sound Just Shy of Obnoxious I’ll confess: like many other motorcyclists, I like the sound of a hearty exhaust note. But also like many others, I don’t want to overdo it. I was warned that the Two Brothers M-2 carbon fiber can would be too loud but it’s actually not, at least on …

No Cell Connection Needed: Nokia HERE Off-Line Motorcycle GPS Our article entitled “Using a Tablet as a Motorcycle GPS” has been very popular with webBikeWorld readers. It details how you can use a smartphone or a relatively inexpensive tablet as a widescreen GPS device on your motorcycle, saving hundreds of dollars off the cost of …

Denim Jackets With CE-Rated Protection The Bull-it Carbon and Roadster jackets are an excellent blend of casual looks and tough protection. Neither jacket gives away its function as protective gear, as the styling of both jackets is subdued. In fact, if the protectors were removed, I see no reason that these jackets couldn’t be used …

A $246.00 LED Replacement for Four $1.81 Bulbs? Why Not?! Warning: this has to be the craziest, most ridiculous way to burn money that you’ve ever seen. But what the heck — nothing’s too expensive for Acolytes of the Temple of the Farkleization Nation! So all of you cheap BMW Airhead guys who visit a …

BurnsMoto Dual-Port USB “Shorty” Adapter for BMW, DIN, Hella and Powerlet Outlets The new BurnsMoto “Shorty” is a smaller (shorter) dual USB adapter that fits the BMW type electrical accessory outlet. It’s easier to use than the much longerBurnsMoto Dual USB Port (review) we reviewed in 2014. The important point here is that this is a …

The Arai of Off-Road Helmets The Arai VX Pro4 is new for 2014, having been previewed on webBikeWorld in the Spring. A significant update from the popular Arai VX Pro3 and a worthy successor in the VX Pro off-road family tree. The VX Pro4 feels “just like an Arai” as soon as it’s pulled out of the …

An Action Camera “System” for Motorcyclists The Sena Prism is a solidly built, Bluetooth 4.0 action camera, first introduced on webBikeWorld in the Sena Prism preview from October 2013. The Prism records video in 1080p at 30fps; 720p at 30 or 60fps and 480p at up to 120fps. Voiceovers can be recorded using Sena or other brands …

I’m actually pretty cool with the V-Strom Adventure’s seat, windscreen and mirrors. They all fit my 5’10” (178 cm) height for the upper half, although my 31″ inseam means a bit of a tip-toe on the lower unit. But, ever the one to experiment, I had to try the SW-Motech mirror wideners. I have to …

Neoprene Grip Wraps Add Comfort and Diameter to Scrawny Hand Grips Grip Buddies are neoprene grip wraps that add thickness or diameter to motorcycle hand grips. They’re easy to install and provide a soft padded feel that is quite different from the typically hard original equipment grips. The neoprene used to make Grip Buddies is …

A Weatherproof Clock With Thermometer, Backlight and Freeze Warning The Oxford Micro Clock is a multi-function electronic device with time, date, temperature and an “ice alert”. It can be switched from Celsius to Fahrenheit and can display 12- or 24-hour time formats. The Micro Clock runs on a CR2032 battery that lives behind a door …

Inexpensive Instant Heat The Joe Rocket “Rocket Burner” gloves are new for the winter of 2014. These are textile gloves with a “stainless core heating system” pumping out 3 levels of near-instant heat where it counts — on top of the fingers and thumb. The gloves are also claimed waterproof, with a Hipora liner. But one didn’t …

High-Definition Speakers Rock Your Helmet The Iasus XSound 3 speakers have an aluminum machined chassis, Kevlar reinforced speaker wires and phenomenal sound quality. The XSound 3 speakers can take higher volumes with less distortion than most standard intercom speakers. The bass response is also outstanding; you can actually “feel” the bass as you listen. The …

Back to Basics With The Cardo Qz The Cardo Scala Rider Qz is a simple and basic “Bluetooth entertainment system” for motorcyclists. The Qz does not have an intercom function but its 2 channels allow you to listen to music and/or GPS and talk on the cell phone. Many webBikeWorld readers have asked about just …

Teknic Cyclone Jacket & Pants Review Every once and a while, someone comes up with a completely new way of doing things with an idea, a strategy or a product that immediately sets them apart from the crowd. In business terms, it’s called “jumping the curve”, a phrase that, as far as I know, was …

A True Modular Multi-Sport Helmet The AFX FX-55 is a true “modular” helmet, in that it can be converted to one of 7 different styles by using the included parts. This “many helmets in one” concept isn’t new but it is rare and, to be honest, still yet to be perfected. We first came across …
