Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

What’s An “Entry Level” Jacket? At its $144.00 list and $139.00 street price, the AGV Sport Torino jacket is about the least expensive 3/4-length touring jacket available today. It checks all the boxes with, of course, a few compromises. AGV Sport lists the Torino jacket as “entry level”, a label which means it will unfortunately be immediately …

Adventure Touring in Deep Rain The new waterproof Sidi Deep Rain Boots are designed to be a lower-priced alternative for adventure-touring or dual-sport use. The “leather” is the all-synthetic type, or at least 99% synthetic in the construction of the Deep Rain boots. The Deep Rain boots are part of the Sidi Touring line; one …

2013 Summer Motorcycle Glove Review Series Preview For this series, we have eight different pairs of motorcycle gloves. Not all of them are strictly “summer” gloves, but hey — it’s close enough…and they all arrived around the same time. The series will take some time to complete, because it’s just not possible to pump out …

Waterproof and Comfy Touring Boots The Dainese Fulcrum boots are made from soft, broken-in leather that is very comfortable. These are touring boots offering CE level protection and a Gore-Tex waterproof lining. Dainese has the Fulcrum boots listed in the “winter” category, but the Gore-Tex breathable liner works in hot weather also. Also, the “Skywalk” …

Another Look at the Clearwater Voltage Sentry We first reviewed the original Clearwater Voltage Sentry in September 2011. It was installed on the Suzuki DR650SE (Blog), which was the webBikeWorld Project Bike that year in the “Budget Adventure Touring” series. Since the, a Clearwater Voltage Sentry (aka CVS) has been installed on every new Project Bike and recent …

High-End Bread and Butter. The Sena 10S is the successor to the groundbreaking and hugely popular Sena SMH10 intercom (review), first released in 2010. Sena has released a flurry of intercoms since then (along with other Bluetooth devices) and they had to get this one right. Good news, SMH10 fans: the 10S is better in every …

They are precision cut and made for many different motorcycles The frame plugs cover the various holes on the motorcycle’s frame to keep out dirt and grime. R&G Racing makes boot guards for many different motorcycle makes …

An Intercom-Ready Super Value The sub-$250 helmets made by Bell are probably the best-kept secrets in motorcycling. HJC overshadows everyone else when it comes to value-priced helmets and there’s nothing wrong with that. But there’s something extra special about the $100 to $250 helmets in the Bell lineup and we have reviewed nearly all of them …

Once More Into the Breach… OK, three articles about JIS screwdrivers is probably 2 too many. But, here we are again. This started as a review of the inexpensive Hozan JIS screwdriver set, but the more we got into it, the more confused we became. But, I’m getting ahead of myself… We first covered the …

R&G Fork Sliders for Protection As I discovered in installing the R&G radiator guard (review), the Fork Protector Kit is well made, all-inclusive and très simple to install. They look really nice as well. Something as simple, and inexpensive as fork protectors can go a long way in minimizing or preventing damage to the bottom and sides of …

R&G Bar End Sliders Fitting bar end weights or bar end sliders sliders is usually pretty straightforward when hand guards aren’t involved. But when they are, it can be difficult to find a simple kit that doesn’t conflict with one of the components. Fortunately, we have the R&G Bar End Slider Kit. It’s simple, easy …

R&G Swingarm Slider Protection The R&G Swingarm Protector Kit (Part #SB0057BK ) fits the BMW S1000RR, HP4 and S1000XR. It also fits the Suzuki GSXR 1000 (2005+), GSXR 750 and GSXR 600 (2006+) or motorcycles that have 16 mm and 23.5 mm mounting diameters. The R&G Swingarm Protector Kit is another example where function and …

A High-End Jacket With Airbag The Helite Adventure jacket includes the Helite “Turtle” airbag vest, which is similar to the Helite Airnest vest we reviewed in 2012. But the Adventure jacket isn’t just about the airbag. It’s an premium jacket in its own right and it’s packed with features. Start with a Cordura shell and a “Humax” water- …

Leather, Luxury, Warmth and Protection The brand-new Spidi Firebird jacket is a looker with a protective inner secret. There’s a full complement of gen-u-wine CE certified (not just approved) elbow and shoulder protectors underneath that cool exterior. And you can even plug in a Spidi EN1621-2 Level 1 and Level 2 certified “Warrior” back protector insert for …

Arai Defiant Gets the Pro Treatment The Arai Defiant Pro Cruise is a variant of the originalArai Defiant we reviewed in June of 2014.
