Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

An Electrochromic Visor System for Motorcycle Helmets An electrochromic visor changes color or tint when electricity is applied. This is different than a photochromic visor, which changes tint when exposed to UV light. We’ve been reviewing both of these technologies since 2008 and the AMI Powersports “Akari” AX12 electrochromic visor is the latest evolution. The …

Touratech and Ortlieb Partner for Waterproof Motorcycle Luggage There is no shortage of waterproof dry bags for motorcyclists. But not all of them are truly waterproof and some aren’t very good, no matter the list price. Fortunately, the Touratech Waterproof Adventure Dry Bag is both waterproof and good. Actually, “great” is the better word to …

Cool, Short and Protective The REV’IT! Cayenne Pro short-gauntlet gloves have a lot of protection for summer motorcycle riding. The overall build quality is outstanding, putting some of the other gloves we’ve reviewed recently to shame. They also have a very comfortable fit with a remarkable amount of dexterity and feel. Designed to be worn under a …

Max Ventilation With H2Out The new Spidi Ventamax mesh jacket is a summer version of the Spidi Multiwinter H2Out jacket. Both have what we call a 5/8 length. It’s slightly longer than your typical short mesh jacket but not quite 3/4-length. Goldilocks would like it — not too short, not too long, but just right! Spidi calls this an …

The New Caberg Drift The Caberg Drift is the Italian company’s newest top-of-the-line helmet. The Drift is a street/sport or “high-tech” touring helmet with a composite carbon, Kevlar and fiberglass shell. A full carbon-fiber shell version of the Drift is also available. The composite shell results in a light weight helmet that makes a positive …

Roadgear “Cheetah” Motorcycle Gloves The Roadgear Cheetah gloves are for sport riding. These are leather gloves that offer a good combination of protection and comfort. The Cheetah gloves are well suited to the aggressive street rider as well as the touring rider who wants better protection than many touring-specific gloves provide. Roadgear gloves are no …

The Case of the Missing Gauntlet! I’ve noticed something very strange in the last three or four pairs of gloves that we’ve reviewed recently on webBikeWorld.com. Apparently, glove designers are in a conspiracy to shrink the gauntlet! Now maybe four pairs of gloves from as many different manufacturers may not be statistically significant, but I’m …

A Sport-Touring Flip-Up The Scorpion GT920 flip-up is new for 2016. It’s a good-looking helmet that could easily be mistaken for a full-face. That goes for both looks and performance. It has a super-plush interior, with very thick padding. That makes it comfortable (as long as your head shape matches) and helps control noise. The …

A Bell Star Custom…Squared! Remember the custom-fitted Bell Star helmet review from last year? That’s the special program at Bell Helmets where they use a laser coordinate measuring machine to create a 3D model of your head. Then they build a carbon fiber Bell Star to fit! The result is a helmet that fits my head like …

R&G Racing “Aero” Frame Sliders, aka “Bobbins” The R&G Racing “Aero” frame sliders are also called “bobbins” in the UK. They have a “teardrop” shape that’s supposed to be aerodynamic. Or at least look it. R&G Racing has Aero frame slider kits for just about every motorcycle made, from Aprilia to Zero. This set is …

High-Tech Retro The Nexx X Garage Collection helmets are here! Don’t have a time machine? No problem! These are about as retro as it gets, but they still meet DOT, ECE and NBR (Brazil) helmet safety standards. The X Garage Collection currently includes an open-face, 3/4-style helmet and a very retro full-face helmet. The helmet …

Wide Foot Pegs For The Kawasaki Versys This is our second experience with the SW-Motech wide foot pegs. This set is designed for the newest versions of the Kawasaki Versys 650 and 1000. But there are very few differences, no matter the bike. The foot peg is virtually the same, the only difference is the …

Popular Mesh Pants for Women and Men The REV’IT! Airwave 2 pants are a perfect match for the Airwave 2 jacket (review). The pants also match with many other REV’IT! jackets. This is one of the reasons why the Airwave 2 pants are so popular. We reviewed the Airwave pants in July of 2013. The Airwave 2 pants …

A Quality Mesh Jacket for Women and Men This is a review of the REV’IT! Airwave 2 jacket for men and women. The Airwave 2 jacket is a high-quality product with a superior fit. It’s cool, comfortable and reasonably safe, which checks all my boxes for a hot weather jacket! Over the years I have …

Quattrotempi 4 U The Held Carese II jacket is designed to compete in the high-end category of all-season 3/4-length adventure-touring motorcycle jackets. The Carese II goes one better than most however, with “Quattrotempi” design. Quattrotempi, in Held parlance, means: Four seasons, four riding types (scooters, street riding, dual-sport and touring), four elements (rain, heat, wind, cold) …
