Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

Men’s Vented Leather Motorcycle Jacket Note:  This article was first published in 2004.  The Vortech jacket has since been discontinued, although a few can still be found at various retailers. Leather is back!  Leather motorcycle jackets have been around forever, but they’ve been collecting a bit of dust on the racks over the last few years …

Mesh Motorcycle Jacket have become very popular in the few years that they’ve been on the market, and with good reason.  They’re a very welcome solution to hot-weather riding for those of us who like to have more than Fruit of the Loom between skin and asphalt. Motorcycle clothing manufacturers have been hard at work, …

50th Anniversary Sidi Boots Where to Buy Sidi 50th Anniversary Vortice Boots Also: Leather Motorcycle Boots, Touring Motorcycle Boots, Women’s Motorcycle Boots Sidi 50th Anniversary Vortice Boots In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Sidi Boots, Motonation is offering a very limited edition, one-time, built-to-order production run of the famous Sidi Vortice road racing boot (review). The …

Vendramini Elephant Boots Vendramini makes some very interesting motorcycle boots, no doubt about it. If you need proof, just take a look at the Vendramini “Desert Alp” Elephant boots shown here. But maybe “interesting” isn’t the right word. How about unique?  Over the top?  Yes, I think that’s getting closer… If you want more proof …

Tourmaster Cortech GX Jacket – Pants Does anyone remember the so-called “good old days”, when motorcycle riding gear meant a pair of jeans, work boots, some old leather work gloves and a plastic helmet? When the latest thing in “cool” was an old Air Force or Police surplus leather jacket?  Yep, the good old days… …

Roadgear AirTek Mesh Jacket – AirTek Mesh Pants Can there ever be too many choices for warm weather clothing?  I’m not sure if the “perfect” mesh combo exists just yet, but the evolution of the technology to produce these materials will surely give us more options. The mesh motorcycle clothing phenomenon is relatively new, but …

Alpinestars Drystar Suit There’s a strong correlation between my desire to sleep in as late as possible on a work day and a steadily declining regard for wearing proper safety gear on my morning commute. I have distant memories of having staggered out of bed with enough time to toast a bagel and eat it …

The Minimalist’s All-Season Riding Outfit If you’ve already taken a trip to Tierra del Fuego or have been on some other major dual-sport adventure, like the Trans-America Trail (report), you probably have very specific clothing requirements. On the other hand, if you’re content to ride the roads that are more heavily traveled (or at least better …

Leather Motorcycle Jacket Leather has a definite ch’i that speaks to you as soon as you get near it.  I guess it’s a combination of the look, the touch and a little bit of the smell, but get anywhere near some high-quality leather and it sort of jumps right out at you, demanding attention. And one of …

Fox Creek Leather “V 1.8” Jacket Next time Uncle Ralph claims that “they don’t make ’em like that any more”, break out your Fox Creek Leather V 1.8 jacket. We were impressed with the Fox Creek Leather Men’s Vented Racing Jacket and Lori (our Women’s Motorcycle Clothing page editor) absolutely loves her Women’s 3/4 Length Jacket, which still gets raves from strangers …

Alpinestars ACR Air-Flo Jacket This is the third in our series of reviews featuring Alpinestars mesh motorcycle clothing. First up was the Alpinestars T-Stunt 2 mesh jacket, then the matching Alpinestars ACR Air-Flo mesh pants, and this review features the ACR Air-Flo mesh jacket. We also have two pairs of Alpinestars jeans in the review pipeline, the Alpinestars …

Adjusting the Chain on the GT1000 and Ducati SportClassics Adjusting a Ducati GT 1000 chain is a fairly straightforward project. Thankfully, there aren’t any quirks that might make this job more difficult than it should be. However, there are two items that I think the GT 1000 owner will require: a six-point, 30 mm socket …

2013 Falco Boots Falco Boots for 2013 Falco is probably one of the lesser-known motorcycle boot manufacturers — and that’s too bad. The Italian company’s products are very nicely made and they have many stylish designs. The quality is excellent and several webBikeWorld evaluators wear Falco boots quite often for a variety of two-wheeled adventures. …

Bell Shorty Helmet I was only about 100 feet from the driveway when the bugs attacked. Or rather, I attacked them at about 30 MPH. A quick access of the little gray cells made me realize that this was the first time I had ever ridden a motorcycle without at least some type of visor …

ROOF Boxer and Roadster Motorcycle Helmets – Owner Reports From “M.H.”, reporting on the new ROOF Boxer V:  “This will be a series of reviews, because as we all know, impressions are sometimes dismissed over time. I presently ride BMW K1200R and prior to this bike, all my bikes were cruisers.  I ride about 15,000 to …
