A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

Motorcycle Headlight Relay Review Ready-made wiring harness and relay kit makes it easy to add relays to a motorcycle headlight. Adding a relay can improve headlight output, reduce load on switches and allow higher wattage bulbs to be used with reduced fear of overloads. Eastern Beaver also has relay kits for dual H4 bulbs and …

Hyper Lite Motorcycle LED Lights Anyone that has spent time on two wheels — either on a bicycle or a motorcycle — knows what a never-ending battle we have as far as our safety is concerned out there on the highways. Other highway users (i.e., everyone else) seem to have taken the term “multi-tasking” to …

Installing a Headlight Modulator Mounting a motorcycle headlight modulator is an easy procedure that may help increase the visibility of your motorcycle to oncoming traffic. Motorcycle headlight modulators rapidly flash the motorcycle’s headlight at 240 (plus or minus 40) cycles per minute. This is designed to attract the attention of oncoming drivers. Headlight modulators for …

Dual Headlight Modulator See Below:  Unique new Comagination dual headlight modulator includes a solid-state relay! Give me some metal and a few tools and I’ll build anything.  But when it comes to electricity, I’m dumbstruck. I’m not sure why actually, although I stuck my finger into way too many outlets as a toddler, so perhaps it’s a Pavlovian …

Ducati Multistrada LED Brake Lights Brake light and tail light improvements are usually first on the agenda for any new motorcycle that enters my garage, and the Multistrada 620 is the latest victim. Since this is 2007, “improvements” usually means either replacing the incandescent bulbs with an LED equivalent, or adding some lumens in the …

LED Brake Lights  – LED Tail Lights LED light bulbs, auxiliary LED light bars and other lighting accessories have been popular with webBikeWorld visitors over the last few years.  These devices are used to help improve motorcycle visibility for both the front and rear of the motorcycle (for more information, visit the wBW Motorcycle Lighting page). We have probably received …

HeavyCycles LED Brake Light LED lights have improved dramatically over the last year or so, and LED retrofits are becoming very popular for motorcycle brake lights, tail lights, turn signals and courtesy lights. There are a couple of good reasons for this: LEDs are unaffected by the vibrations that are prevalent in a bike’s nether regions …

SpiderLite X2 Folding LED Brake Light Review The SpiderLite folding LED light hits all the hot buttons: it’s cool, it’s unique, it’s interesting, it’s useful and on top of all that, it pumps out a lot of light. Worthy of a webBikeWorld review, for sure. There’s just one problem: this review is going to take …

An LED Dimmer Feasibility Study The concept: find a COTS* motorcycle LED light dimmer that can be spliced into an auxiliary LED light array to vary the light output. We found this “Rotary LED Dimmer”, made by ADVmonster and designed primarily for their auxiliary lights. We then customized the dimmer’s wiring harness and spliced it …

Cardo Scala Rider G9 Intercom Review The new Cardo Scala Rider G9 has excellent build quality and it’s loaded with features. The intercom is available in a single kit or as the PowerSet two-pack, which comes paired and ready to go from the factory. The sound quality and volume is also excellent and the G9 …

BikeComm Hola Motorcycle Intercom Review The BikeComm Hola series motorcycle intercoms feature small Bluetooth modules with just three user buttons, standardized headset components and simple mounting options. System configuration is simple and the intercoms are easy to use and the Hola intercoms can be quickly mounted on most motorcycle helmet types. A specific focus for …

Replacing the V-Strom 1000 ABS Headlight Bulb With a Nokya Hyper Yellow H7 Productske helmet safety and high-viz clothing, there’s no real proof that it works. But it just seems to make sense that anything that gives the bike a different appearance might also help it to become more visible. A yellow headlight bulb on …

DR650 HID Headlight Conversion The “Bikemaster” brand HID headlight kit is available in several different bulb types. We installed the H4 kit on the Suzuki DR650 (blog) but the steps are the same for every bike. The HID bulb posed no difficulties; it is a direct replacement for the H4. Locating a suitable mounting position for the …

Heavycycles LED Brake Light Several years ago, we reviewed a prototype LED replacement brake light, custom made for us by Heavycycles. It was the first of its kind — an LED “system” light that completely replaced the original reflector and bulb. It was an engineering marvel, because Heavycycles used the entire plastic tail light housing, purchased …

Ducati GT 1000 Brake Light Bulb Replacement I like the GT1000’s simple round brake light.  It adds to the bike’s retro looks and its balanced proportions bring a touch of class to the rear of the bike.  Too bad the entire housing is made from plastic though… I’ll bet that a Ducati designer studied a …
