A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

Polar-Optics Motorcycle Helmet Face Shield Lens  There are probably too many less-than-satisfactory methods to get some sun protection while riding.  You could choose a tinted replacement helmet visor, but they can be expensive, and it’s usually a pain to remove the clear visor and replace it with the tinted one (or vice versa) when the sun plays fickle. And …

REV’IT! 2014 Fall/Winter Clothing Preview I made a quick stop at REV’IT! USA headquarters last week to check out the Fall/Winter 2014 lineup. Yes, you read that right! It’s time for winter clothing. Hard to believe, now that summer has just begun its hot and moist grip on most of us in the northern hemisphere. …

LED Headlamp Flashlight My garage has three big windows and a combination lighting scheme that includes overhead incandescent, fluorescent and halogen lamps.  But I never seem to have enough light when I’m working on a bike. Now it could be because I’m getting old and my eyesight isn’t quite as sharp as it was, say, 20 …

Quick Anchor Motorcycle Trailer Tie Down I found an advertisement for the new Quick Anchor “movable trailer tie down” in a print magazine and it looked intriguing, so I figured we’d give them a try. The Quick Anchor is cut from a flat sheet of 1/4″ plate. I assume that the material is stainless steel. …

Raising the fork tubes in the triple clamp is a simple adjustment that can help make a motorcycle respond faster to steering input and can lower the motorcycle. This trick won’t be found in your owner’s manual, because the manufacturers spend a lot of time working out the best compromise for the motorcycle’s suspension, and …

GiMoto Custom Motorcycle Leathers It was just about this time of year, long ago and far away, when Mom would drag me to the nearest department store to poke through the new crop of fall clothes for the upcoming school year. But we ran into the same problem every fall. I wasn’t short, fat or …

Choosing and Purchasing a One-Piece Leather Motorcycle Suit I finally got to the point in my track riding where my two-piece Dainese Rock leather suit just wasn’t cutting it any more. Not that I am all that fast on the track… But when I originally purchased the suit I had no idea whether I would …

Sliders “Bella” Women’s Jeans Review The Sliders Bella  women’s riding jeans are protective, wear all day, decent-looking jeans. It’s sad but true that when it comes to motorcycle gear for women, the amount of choices available pale in comparison to plethora of gear available for men. In recent years this has improved a bit, but the …

Motorcycle Trailer Hitch: Explore The World On Your Bike Motorcycle enthusiasts are famous for enjoying long rides on their bikes. But a long trip can also cause some problems. Motorcycles don’t have a lot of carrying capacity. Traveling without a trunk or a back seat to carry your gear can make a trip more more …

Plastic Motorcycle Gas Tank Removal It wasn’t all that long ago when owning a car was a real hands-on experience. Carburetors, points and condensers, spark plugs that only lasted a few thousand miles, single-weight oil and take-it-or-leave-it quality meant that like it or not, you were involved with your machine. Cars have evolved (some would …

KTM Announces Powerful New 990 Adventure (Specifications and more photos below). KTM, the Austrian company renowned for its championship wins in the Dakar Rally and international off-road events, is releasing the 990 Adventure “Travel Enduro” motorcycle. The 990 Adventure is a revised version of the relatively successful 950 Adventure. The 990 has greater displacement, electronic …

“El Cheapo” Motorcycle Helmet Sun Shade Review Every once and a while, I stop by Manny, Moe and Jack’s (AKA Pep Boys) to see what’s up. They carry a lot of automotive products that are also useful for motorcycles. For example, the Fiamm “Highway Blaster” horns (review) that they sell are fantastic, and will wake up the dreamiest …

Wee Willy Review Motorcyclists come in every shape and size. And like fingerprints, no two bikes are ever the same; every owner wants to be just a bit different than the next. But, there is one single universal issue that all motorcyclists have in common — bugs! Even if you’re sitting behind a barn door …

Posi-Tap “Mega” Connectors for Multiple Wires The Posi-Tap and Posi-Lock “Mega” connectors are useful when you need to connect multiple wires. Sometimes it’s more efficient to use a larger-sized Posi-Tap or Posi-Lock rather than multiple connections. For example, when connecting pairs of auxiliary lights or to tap multiple wires into a single ground or power …
