Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

Diamond Gusset Jeans Review Comfortable, nicely tailored and good quality. Available in many colors and styles. Extra gusset in crotch makes them more comfortable than regular jeans. There’s not much that can be said about a pair of motorcycle jeans. I don’t usually wear jeans for riding, although I seem to be in the minority. …

Motorcycle Journeys Through the Appalachians By: Dale Coyner Softcover: 304 pages Publisher: Whitehorse Press, July 2004 ISBN: 1884313485 I’m very fortunate because I live in an area with some of the best motorcycle roads in North America. The Mid Atlantic region of the U.S.A., specifically the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, have …

The Only Arai Helmet for Round-Heads The Quantum II fits round heads best. It has a relatively plush liner and good ventilation. It is relatively light weight compared to other size XL helmets we’ve reviewed. IIt also has an excellent finish. It’s slightly noisy at some angles, otherwise quiet. We have reviewed quite a few …

The “Stubby” Flex Head GearWrench Like all GearWrench products, the Stubby has excellent quality, appearance and feel. It’s made from highly polished chrome and has a lifetime warranty. They are light weight and thin and the Flex Head rotates 180 degrees. It needs as little as 5 degrees of sweep to move a fastener. The …

The TailSwinger Moves Your Motorcycle in the Garage I’ve come across several products recently that were designed to help owners move their motorcycles into tight spots in the garage or other storage spaces. These devices may be especially useful for owners of big, long, heavy cruisers. It’s hard enough to do the old back-and-forth shuffle …

Women’s Motorcycle Boots I liked the looks of the men’s Specter Road Motorcycle Touring boots as soon as I saw them, so I jumped at the opportunity to try the women’s version. The webBikeWorld crew claims that the men’s touring boots are some of the most comfortable they’ve tried.  Rick wears them both on and …

Silicone Gasket Replacement for Bing Carburetors I’ve been looking for something like this for years. It’s a silicone gasket replacement for Bing carburetors. I figured they had to exist; it was just a matter of time before I found one. Cork gaskets of the type found on Bing carburetors have been used since Henry Ford …

SportVue Heads-Up Display Review Technology is a wonderful thing.  As long as the early adopters get the bugs worked out so that the rest of us can focus on the added value, rather than fussing to work out the problems. We can hope that some day motorcycle helmets will be heated, with visors that automatically …

Lee Parks Deerskin Gloves Review The Lee Parks Deerskin gloves have soft deer skin palms and elk skin backs. They are insulated with Outlast phase change material and a layer of Thinsulate on the back of the glove. The special Outlast material allows the glove to be thinner than most winter gloves, which provides good …

Protectors for Protection When we started our exploration of the various forms of motorcycle armor and protective clothing, I never thought we’d get beyond one or maybe two back protectors. But here we are with the sixth article in what can now be considered as a series. We originally thought that these type of products …

Oxford Hot Hands Heated Grips Oxford Hot Hands heated grips are easy to install. They work well, providing lots of heat. There is no thermostat included, so they must be switched on and off to control heat. Hot Hands draw 18 Watts each at maximum power. The grips are slightly bulky and too much wire …

Temp Gun Digital Infrared Thermometer Review Temp Gun Mini, Temp Gun PE-2 and Temp Gun PE-3 Digital Infrared Laser Thermometers Easy to use, these devices are handy for all sorts of temperature measurements. What to do when the temperature is hovering in the teens? The cold snap has slowed us way down (in more ways …

Scorpion EXO-700 Arrives One hundred and sixty bucks is the “sweet spot” of motorcycle helmet retail pricing. Based on our observations of motorcycle helmet purchases, that price is very competitive and is near the maximum amount that many riders want to pay for a new helmet. That’s not a problem – after all, everyone likes …

OnGuard “Beast” Motorcycle Chain and Lock Review Very robust chain and lock with hardened steel and other features designed to protect against cutting. Chain includes fabric chafe guard. Relatively inexpensive. This “Beast” model 110cm long chain and lock weights 4.4kg (9.5lbs.) and if looks alone are anything, would-be thieves will be discouraged! Motorcycle theft doesn’t …
