Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

Lace-less Boots From REV’IT! The REV’IT! Freestyle boots have an interesting no-laces design. They’re comfortable with a good peg feel. Relatively light weight and the upper section is very flexible for walking. Claimed waterproof and uses breathable membrane. UPDATE:  REV’IT! Redesiged the Freestyle Boots for 2008 (See Below) It took a while, but I’ve become …

Sidi Canyon Gore-Tex Boots   Summary The Sidi Canyon boots are light weight with clean, simple styling. They work well as casual but sturdy footwear and still handle the more demanding job of protecting the feet while riding. These boots are comfortable, warm and stylish, and fully meet the needs of the on/off-road rider, male …

Interphone, Scala Rider TeamSet and IMC Camos Intercoms You may recall our last chapter in the continuing saga of Bluetooth disappointment (more on that in a minute), when our original set of Interphone Bluetooth intercoms were replaced with the Interphone “Comfort Kit”. This is an update on the replacement and some observations on the current …

The Scorpion EXO-1000 Is Here! Rather anti-climatic after the long wait and buildup, the Scorpion EXO-1000 is built like a tank and loaded with features, but more isn’t necessarily better. Finally! After all this time, the EXO-1000 has arrived. webBikeWorld had the world’s first photographs and product information on this helmet, which we posted on …

Check-Line DTW 100 Electronic Torque Wrench and DSD-4 Electronic Torque Screwdriver The Check-Line DTW 100 is a super-nice electronic torque wrench. It works well for motorcycle use, with a useful range and an audible “beep” when the correct torque is reached. This could and should find a home in every motorcycle mechanic’s toolbox (although I store …

SPOT GPS Personal Tracking Device November 21, 2007 – AdventureTRAK, Inc. has announced the highly anticipated arrival of the SPOT Personal Tracking Device. SPOT is a brand new GPS personal tracking system satellite messenger unit that is available for sale or rental. The SPOT GPS personal tracking system is designed to work with total satellite-based …

Tourmaster Synergy Gloves Review These Tourmaster Synergy gloves barely put out any heat, unlike the Tourmaster Synergy heated vest, which pumps out almost too much. In my opinion, the gloves are clumsy, they make my hands sweat, the gauntlets are strange and the wiring connectors get in the way. I really like the Tourmaster Synergy vest but, …

7EYE (Panoptx) Zephyr Women’s Sunglasses and Taku Men’s Sunglasses As you can see in the right-hand column, we have plenty of webBikeWorld reviews about motorcycle helmet visors, visor cleaners, anti-fog treatments (and more on the way), sun shades and more. But we never quite got around to motorcycle sunglasses, for some reason. It certainly couldn’t …

Tourmaster Synergy Vest for Heat The prodigious amount of heat is transferred smoothly and evenly through carbon fiber fabric, so no worries about hot spots or wires. Segment-busting price includes the controller that should come with every other heated vest but doesn’t. Also, a wiring harness for the bike that should come with every other …

Joe Rocket Ballistic 7.0 Jacket The Joe Rocket Ballistic jacket is this year’s perfect 3/4-length jacket for temperatures ranging from approximately 45 to 80 F (7 to 27 C). It’s light weight, very comfortable and fits like a glove. It also looks great, claimed waterproof, decent armor, good venting, loaded with innovate features…and the price …

Sidi On-Road Boots Review The Sidi On Road Gore-Tex boots are the number one boot for this rider. They are an impressive example of what sound design, technological innovation and craftsmanship can produce. Absolutely waterproof, breathable, warm, comfortable, and easy to care for day in, day out. With clean, simple lines and their obvious quality …

Motorcycle LED Tail Light Comparison: Part XV Our most recent LED light article was published in November of 2007. In that article, we compared a few of the latest motorcycle LED brake lights and tail lights. That was our 14th article on the subject, but apparently it wasn’t enough for our readers, who immediately asked for …

LED Redux: Motorcycle LED Turn Signals and Brake Lights Motorcycle LED lights have been a popular topic on webBikeWorld since we first started investigating them way back in… could it have been 7 years ago?  Wow!  Time sure flies… Seven years ago I thought for sure that, seven years hence, LED lights would have completely …
