Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

wBW First Look: CMS XR-7 Motorcycle Helmet Our experience with CMS Helmets has been very positive. This small Portuguese company offers high-quality helmets like the CMS GP-4 full-face helmet we reviewed some time ago, which was one of the lightest full-face helmets we’ve ever worn. CMS is a fairly well known name in Europe but they’re not well …

Olympia 710 and 711 Gel Reflector Gloves The best bargain you can find for summer motorcycle gloves? Can a $25 pair of gloves actually be worthwhile? It’s a good day when you can find a pair of gloves that not only look good, but have a comfy fit. For the past few weeks I’ve been …

Klotz KLR Motorcycle Chain Lube Klotz KLR is our favorite motorcycle chain lube in this 2008 comparison. It has a nicely focused and powerful spray, which means that most of the product can be directed precisely on to the chain and side plates. The Klotz KLR clear liquid dries relatively quickly and has the least …

TS-73 Torque Tight Torque Grease While we were browsing around in the T.S. Moly Lubricants website, we found their “Torque Tight” product. This caught our eye for only one reason. The Ducati GT1000 shop manual calls for using a special type of grease on the threads of the rear axle, and the torque specifications they …

Maxima Waterproof Grease The only reason we decided to try a couple of types of grease is to compare them to the Elf Moto Chain Paste (review), a grease-like motorcycle chain lube that comes in a tube. We hadn’t really considered (or known about) this type of medium for motorcycle chain lubrication, and we wanted to …

Motorex Grease Everything we said about Maxima Waterproof Grease (review) is ditto here. The only reason we decided to try a couple of types of grease is to compare them to the Elf Moto Chain Paste (review), a grease-like motorcycle chain lube that comes in a tube. We hadn’t really considered (or known about) this type of medium …

TS-804 Chain and Cable Lube With Moly TS-804 is not a motorcycle chain lube; it’s an industrial product, manufactured by T.S. Moly Lubricants in the U.S.A. “Moly”, or molybdenum disulfide, is a product known to BMW motorcycle owners and others who have experienced the nightmare known as the spline lube. T.S. Moly Lubricants, Inc. specializes …

TS-801 Dry Film Moly Lubricant TS-801 is not a motorcycle chain lube; it’s an industrial product, manufactured by T.S. Moly Lubricants in the U.S.A. T.S. Moly is a company known to BMW motorcycle owners who have experienced the nightmare known as the spline lube. The company specializes in manufacturing a wide variety of moly (molybdenum …

Repsol Moto Chain Lube Repsol Chain Lube is of the “waxy” type, a thick liquid that turns into a sort of wax or hard grease after it dries. The tiny 99 gram (3.49 oz.) can has a sprayer with a built-in nozzle, but the nozzle is very short at exactly 10 mm, and this, more …

Motorcycle Stuff Chain Lube Motorcycle Stuff Chain Lube is the lowest cost per unit chain lube in this comparison, at $0.018 per gram. However, this is only $0.001 less than our favorite in this batch, Klotz KLR. Also, the Motorcycle Stuff Chain Lube has a relatively weak spray. Beyond that, the spray exits more like a …

Maxima Chain Guard Motorcycle Chain Lube Maxima Chain Guard is a “foamy” type motorcycle chain lube spray. If you like foamy chain lubes, this is one to check out. It has the least amount of overspray or waste for a foamy type. The foam “bubbles” up over and around the chain, but not as rapidly …

Gel Lube Motorcycle Chain Lube Quick Look Gel Lube is a new product. It’s actually not a dedicated motorcycle chain lube, but rather an “all-around lubricant”, according to the label. It sprays out as a thick liquid and turns into a sort of gel, like dried jam — strawberry! The label says that it will …

Elf Moto Chain Paste Quick Look Strange stuff, this. It’s a grease-like paste in a tube. There were no printed instructions on this one, so we can only assume that it’s designed to spread on the chain using a brush or rag. Elf Moto Chain Paste really needs to be applied on the inside run …

Motorcycle Detailing Products by Danasé Detailing Supply It’s always interesting when the little guys are able to develop products that beat the giants at their own game.  This has happened several times in the motorcycle detailing business, and we’ve reviewed many unique productsthat are definitely not available on the shelves of your local strip mall auto …

Tend Plastic Cleaner Interesting and very hard-to-find anti-static plastic cleaner for polycarbonate airplane windshields. Works well and leaves a “slippery” feel that seems to make the surface easier to clean, but I’m not sure if the product is overwhelmingly better than several other plastic cleaners we’ve tried. Regular readers know what a kick we get …
