Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

SHIFT Torrent “Storm Series” Waterproof Gloves Review A very inexpensive waterproof glove that also works well in cool weather. Comfortable but without hard armor. The Shift Torrent SS gloves have a slightly fussy cuff, but they’re probably the least expensive fully waterproof motorcycle gloves around. Keep a pair stuffed in the tank bag or under the seat …

Part I: BTS 300 Stereo Bluetooth Headset and Long Range Intercom Evaluation If Santa Claus was remiss this year and you are still looking for a bright, shiny, really useful toy (tool) to add to your motorcycling inventory, the IMC Camos BTS 300 might be just the thing… A new design and engineering effort, the …

Olympia Ultima 1 Gloves Review The bargain of the bunch at a street price of $68.00, the Olympia Ultima I gloves are similar in many ways to the Held Freezer gloves. They’ll keep you warm and dry, but they’re pretty bulky. Part 7 of a 9-part series. You could probably wear a new pair of Olympia gloves every day …

Hippo Hands Handlebar Muffs Review Editor’s Note: I remember seeing a pair of Hippo Hands installed on an old BMW Airhead many years ago. I wasn’t sure if the product was still available or not. We receive several emails each year asking about them and Chris recently installed a pair for his GS. Here’s his story… As …

Firstgear TPG Tundra Waterproof Winter Motorcycle Gloves New for 2009, the Firstgear Tundra and Glacier gloves are waterproof, warm and the palms are designed for use with heated grips! Part I:  Firstgear Glacier Gloves In Part I, I covered the basics regarding the new-for-2009 Firstgear TPG Tundra and Glacier gloves, both of which are designed with minimal …

Firstgear “Carbon” Heated Gloves Review No more cold hands!  Waterproof and comfortable with minimal bulk. The Firstgear Carbon heated gloves look and feel like “normal” leather motorcycle gloves, but light ’em up and feel the warmth! What started as as a simple look at a one or two different options for winter warmth has turned into a …

Fieldsheer “Aqua Sport” Waterproof Motorcycle Gloves A cheap way to stay dry. Three-season warmth or for temperate winter use. Well made, comfortable and with a couple of surprising features. At this price, keep a pair in your tank bag just in case. Part 6 of a 9-part series. The Fieldsheer Aqua Sport gloves are the ringer …

Part IV: IMC Camos Bluetooth Adapter Review This kit and the wiREVO Bluetooth Stereo Headset Set, described in Part III of this series, were sent by Benchmark Helmets in the same box as the two BTS 300 systems. Over the past three months I have really come to appreciate all the items received. While the BTS …

Jensen JHD910 Radio Review A good, solid “meat and potatoes” daily workhorse of a radio that does well with helmet speakers or ear buds on a motorcycle. The Jensen JHD910 is from the Jensen Electronics “Heavy Duty” catalog. Jensen says that their Heavy Duty electronics line is “specifically designed, built, and tested to withstand even …

The Fulmer D4 “Evil Spell” The Fulmer D4 has a few unique features that help separate it from other inexpensive helmets. Fulmer’s Air Channel Technology ventilation system really does seem to work. It also gives the D4 an interesting and smooth shape that also helps control noise. Strong detents in the visor and an impressive …

SW-Motech Crash Bars Review As I mentioned in my BMW R1150GS review, this bike has me looking for goodies to install. Most of them have a practical use, but not all are essential. One of my first concerns was to protect those huge cylinders that stick out on each side of the bike’s frame — what …

The Adjustable SteadyStand Multi Front Wheel Chock All four SteadyStand wheel stands and chocks made by Acebikes are precision-made, nicely designed and quality products that we can highly recommend. We reviewed the “original” Acebikes SteadyStand in February of 2008 and found it to be a nicely engineered design that has proven to be very useful in the …

A Different Kind of LED Flashlight Our own “Texas Joe” sent over a batch of the new Bayco Nightstick flashlights for a look-see. You remember Texas Joe? He’s that all-around handyman, mechanic, vintage motorcycle restorer, V6 Moto Guzzi inventor and chicken-fried steak eatin’ occasional contributor The Nightstick is an interesting new type of LED flashlight that was …

Preview: Sidi Vortice Racing Boots Looks like the new Sidi Vortice Boots will replace the Vertigo Corsa boots as the sport/race boot of choice! Many press releases arrive in the webBikeWorld inbox each week, but only those deemed newsworthy get published. Most of those consist of information regarding new motorcycles that we think are of …
