Motorcycle Gear & Product Reviews for Over 20 Years

A Focus On Real Reviews

At wBW we focus on motorcycle gear reviews, including reviews of motorcycle parts, tools, motorcycle apparel, protective gear, electronics and more. We have been reviewing motorcycle products for over 20 years and are the most reliable source of unbiased advice on which products to buy. This is the main index for webBikeWorld motorcycle product reviews.

With over 2,000 motorcycle accessory, clothing and product reviews online and over 5,000 pages in the site in total, it’s hard to keep everything categorized, so please use the webBikeWorld search function if you have trouble. There are also 170+ book reviews, 300+ helmet reviews, 35 video reviews, 120+ technical, maintenance and repair articles, 100+ Special Reports, many Motorcycle Reviews and more always on the way.

Our Approach

We have partnerships with awesome retailers and manufacturers who kindly supply us with cool new products to test. We’re always talking to them about getting the latest information on motorcycle products, quizzing them about new things in the pipeline, generally annoying them with emails and cornering them at trade shows. That’s how we ensure we’re getting you the latest and greatest information and ensuring we can also get good gear to review for you guys.

wBW reviews are 100% independent and no matter who gives the helmet, jacket or gloves we guarantee that we will always tell you the good, bad and in between. We will tell you what we like and what don’t like. It is important to note that our reviews are comprehensive and detailed.

A typical review takes four to six weeks and is a real world, hands on process, tested by real riders our on the road. We typically include short running to the shop rides, long days of riding for hours on end, sound tests, drop tests and much more.

MyTech Accessories Luggage for 2011 EICMA 2010 Report November 18, 2010 – I passed by this small but interesting booth a few times and decided to stop in. I’m glad I did! MyTech Accessories is an Italian firm making what looks to be some very nice, very high-quality and precision-made luggage sets. Their website is currently …

Version 3 of the Firstgear Rainier TPG Jacket The Firstgear Rainier TPG jacket provides warmth, comfort, modern styling and it’s waterproof. It’s a good choice for serious riders looking for high quality at a lower price point than the premier jackets from heavy hitters like REV’IT!, Rukka, and Klim. This is the third version of …

Version 2 for the Firstgear Escape TPG Pants This is the third review of Firstgear TPG products; first was the original Rainier TPG jacket (review), reviewed in 2008. One year ago, in November of 2009, I reviewed the updated Firstgear Teton TPG jacket along with the matching Firstgear TPG Escape pants. Now in November 2010 I’m reviewing “Version 3” …

Part 1: Blutek Motorcycle Helmet Review The Bluetek Bluetooth helmet isn’t perfect, but it’s very good overall. It’s also an excellent value for the money, especially appreciating the fully integrated Bluetooth system. The helmet reveals simple design, good construction and balance. It is quiet and comfortable. It meets DOT and ECE standards and the Bluetooth …

Spartan SL-1 Gloves Review The Spartan SL-1 gloves have outstanding quality, comfort and a real-world fit. They have “box” type fingertips not always found on race-style gloves. The stitching on the Spartan SL-1 gloves has to be the best I’ve ever seen. I’m not fond of the use of real stingray hide for abrasion resistance, however. Surely there …

Held Kallisto Gloves Review Comfortable, attractive gloves ideal for spring and autumn, let down by materials and stitching that are quick to wear out. When summer eventually rolled round, I realised I needed a new pair of in-between gloves; something for those days when my Hein Gericke Pathan gloves (review) are too hot but it’s not warm …

Caberg HyperX Helmet November 4, 2010 – Besides the new Caberg Ego (report), Caberg will also introduce the Caberg HyperX for 2011. UPDATE: Caberg to enter U.S. market (more in the Caberg HyperX Review)!  Also see this Caberg DOT Helmets report from the 2011 Dealer Expo. The Caberg HyperX is a dual-homologated Jet helmet, which means it passes both …

2011 Falco Boots Falco Boots for 2011 November 1, 2010 – Falco sent some pre-show press release information and photos on their new line of boots for 2011. These are Italian hand-made boots; we reviewed a couple of pair of Falco boots and Falco gloves on webBikeWorld and I hope to get a few of …

Sidi Fusion Boots Review The Sidi Fusion Boots are a good bargain in an entry-level sport boot for all-round street wear and occasional track days.  Sidi quality and reputation, made in Italy and plenty of protective features. The most enjoyable and memorable journeys are those that start with a minimal plan and where the sojourner …

The Vega Summit Flip-Up Helmet The Vega Summit 3.0 is an evolution of the original Vega Summit flip-up. It has a comfortable liner and a secure-feeling rotating visor and the price is right. But is that enough? I’m not sure when Vega first started selling helmets. But the Vega Summit XPV was reviewed on webBikeWorld before our …

The throttle that should have been standard on the Multistrada…and many other bikes! The G2 Throttle Tamer did the job, taming the snatchy on/off “light switch” throttle. An added bonus is better throttle response at higher RPMs. The Multistrada 620 is a nice motorcycle and it’s now somewhat of a collector’s item, since they were only made …

MotoCentric Mototrek Luggage MotoCentric Mototrek soft luggage is thoughtfully designed, uses quality materials and has virtually flawless construction. These facts make the Mototrek line of products a contender right out of the starting gate. Well worth a look – there is a lot of value represented in the three products evaluated here and with some …

Shoei Qwest Motorcycle Helmet Review Smooth styling, sleek appearance, outstanding quality… The Shoei Qwest build quality is a benchmark helmet that others should aspire to. The Shoei Qwest was named the webBikeWorld 2010 Motorcycle Helmet of the Year! UPDATE: November 2010 – Shoei Qwest Receives 5-Star SHARP Rating (see our SHARP rating page). I used to think of …

Sit Relief for Seated Relief? Padded seat in a pair of undershorts don’t work very well for motorcycle use. I can’t remember how I first came upon the Sit Relief shorts, but they looked interesting, so I ordered a pair. These shorts are made from a polyester and Spandex material that fits snug to the …
