Moto Guzzi has taken the wraps off the all-new V100 Mandello, the first of a new generation of models to come.
In March 2021, Moto Guzzi turned a glorious century old. Despite the difficult times that the auto industry has faced over the last couple of years, Moto Guzzi seems to have no intention of slowing down.
Recently, the Italian marquee announced plans to inaugurate a new factory and museum in Mandello del Lario, Italy. Along with this announcement came news of an all-new sports tourer – the V100 Mandello.
Moto Guzzi has not revealed all the specifications of its new model; that’s set to happen later this year at the EICMA 2021 (25-28th November). For now, we know that an all-new V-twin will be powering the motorcycle. And like with most new engines, this, too, will find its way onto multiple other models.
CycleWorld reports that work on this new engine began over a decade ago, but the project was shelved as the brand focused on its existing, traditional models. This new engine dubbed the ‘V1000’ is expected to be a cut above the ones with which the manufacturer currently equips its motorcycles.
While it isn’t official, sources claim that the new V100 will continue to feature Moto Guzzi’s 90-degree layout, which will sit at around 1,050cc in displacement, and feature a chain-driven DOHC with four valves per cylinder, as well as a more modern-looking design compared to the rest of the Moto Guzzi stable.
That’s all we know about the V100 Mandello at the moment, but EICMA is only a couple of months away, and we’re certainly excited about what’s in store.
What do you think of Moto Guzzi’s all-new sport tourer? Do you think the V85 TT will also be updated to feature the new engine?

A Moto Guzzi with a radiator.
Yes! That’s a huge change! Looks like it will be a great motor.
I have owned Moto Guzzi bikes going back to the mid-1970s and I think this will do wonders for the marque. I hope they receive as favorable reviews as the V-85TT and sell like hotcakes. Bravissimo!!

Sign me up!! And make mine the green/silver. I’ve been waiting and wanting a Guzzi forever. This one would do it for me. What a gorgeous moto…and pretty cool video.
This is a gorgeous Guzzi!
I been waiting for this, a new Lemans or Norge. This seems to have touring capabilities, hopefully with some hard panniers not like Ducati Supersport. If not maybe GIVI will have a solution in future. I hoped for a more big block engine 1200-1400cc and 130-150hp but my Ducati ST3 do the jobb very well and this could be the replacement.
I hope they leave the V85TT in its segment and put the new engine in a new Stelvio. I had a Stelvio 1200 and kind of miss it. A slightly smaller, lighter Stelvio would be wonderful.
This V100 is kind of different looking but I’m excited to learn more about the new engine. I’ve looked at the new V7 but it’s not my cup of tea. This bike has me interested, looks notwithstanding.
Moto Guzzi should soon release V100tt with the newly designed water cooled engine. I am sure that the V100 Mandello is going to be great and very refreshing addition model to the Moto Guzzi already existing motorcycles line up.
Your constantly popping up ‘sign up today’ box drives me nuts.
This beauty is certainly intriguing to me. If it could be fitted with side cases wide enough to hold a helmet in each, I would be seriously tempted. I prefer a solid color so as to not distract from the nice body contours.
