2011 EICMA Wrap-Up
It’s a Wrap…
November 24, 2011 – I still have a few more reports to trickle out, but it’s time to get back to the regularly scheduled programming…
I’ll mix in the last of the reports along with the rest of the regular webBikeWorld reviews and other articles. For example, I visited the Rev’it U.S. headquarters in New York a couple of weeks prior to the EICMA show, so I have photos and information on the 2012 Spring Rev’it lineup to tell you about. Rev’it had a press embargo on the information until after the EICMA show.
Ending my EICMA reporting is good timing actually; today is Thanksgiving day in the U.S., a time when families get together to enjoy the holiday. Tomorrow, it’s back to “work”!
Alice and I had a great time in Milan at this year’s show and I’m also very grateful for the kind hospitality of the Cardo Systems staff during my way-too-brief visit to Israel. Next year, we plan on attending the biennial Intermot show in Germany and we have been invited to tour the SCHUBERTH Helmet factory, which will be very interesting.
Just for fun, I compiled some random video I had (below) of the crowds at the EICMA 2011 show. Pushing through 7 huge buildings can be physically exhausting, and this video is an example of why. Note how long it takes just to walk past two displays, from the Piaggio display to the end of the Aprilia display.
Thanks for reading our reports and we hope to review many of these cool products in 2012!
