The 2021 Ducati Monster Has Arrived

More Monsterous Than Ever Before

Ducati’s seemingly neverending World Premiere series has finally hit episode 5, and with that being said, they have brought us some major updates for the 2021 edition of the Ducati Monster.

With this new Monster update, Ducati plans on taking a new approach to design and manufacturing with this new rendition coming in at a far lower weight. The Ducati Monster 821 is on its way out the door, and with that departure brings room for this new 2021 Monster featuring a 937cc Testaretta 11-degree v-twin engine capable of producing 111 horsepower and 69 lb-ft of torque.

Although this new bike has a much higher displacement and produces more power, it manages to shed a full 40 pounds off the outgoing 821 providing riders with a level of agility never before seen in the Monster lineup. The bike has always been a light and flickable beast, but Ducati has taken this a step further with its Panigale-derived aluminum front frame. We don’t have a wet weight stat to go off of (curse you, Ducati!) but we do know that this bike will be 366 pounds dry and can contrast that figure with the 821’s dry-weight. 

The 2021 model brings Ducati’s new full-color TFT display, ABS, TC, launch control, wheelie control, three riding modes, and a quick shifter. If you feel as though you may not have any business using a quick-shifter, know that Ducati has included a much lighter and more manageable clutch for your shifting pleasure.

The suspension is fully adjustable though it’s 43mm USD fork and rear mono-shock and you’ll be trusting your stopping power with industry-leading Brembo M4.32 monobloc 4-piston caliper 320mm discs in the front with a Brembo 2-piston 245mm disc in the back.

This new rendition comes in a Monster standard edition as well as the Monster ‘+’ edition, which adds some small visual updates (small front fairing and a seat cover). Pricing for these bikes are set to be $11,895 for the base model and $12,195 for the Monster +.
