BMW’s Pocket-Sized Adventure Tourer: The 2021 BMW G 310 GS
Contents
The G 310 GS is a small-capacity adventure touring motorcycle from European manufacturer BMW. There are a number of small displacement models in the 2021 BMW line-up, but this aggressive and compact tourer is arguably the most exciting. It takes inspiration directly from its larger GS-designated stablemates, but in a decidedly smaller and more accessibly, fun-filled package.
The G 310 platform showcases BMW Motorrad’s smallest product engine. It’s a 313 cc single-cylinder that packs a surprisingly powerful punch. In terms of performance, the G 310 GS’s powerplant produces 34 horsepower and 21 lb-ft of torque, with the power delivered to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox and chain drive. Combined, the G 310 GS can reach top speeds of up to 89 mph.
Aside from the bike’s rugged adventure ergonomics, the G 310 GS also packs a number of top features as standard equipment. These include ABS, USD forks, adjustable rear suspension, an LED taillight, a 19” front wheel, luggage rack, windshield, and more.
For 2021, the G 310 GS is available in a number of color options: BMW’s classic Pearl White Metallic Tricolor, Racing Red, and Cosmic Black. A special edition black and yellow design that celebrates 40 years of the GS brand designation is available in Canada and other markets, but currently not in the USA.
The 2021 BMW G 310 GS starts at $5,795 USD / $6,750 CAD
