The 2020 Scout is the mid-sized hero of the Indian model lineup. Featuring a 1,133cc liquid-cooled 60-degree v-twin, the Scout makes an impressive 100 HP and 72 lbs-ft of torque, transmitted through a wet clutch 6 speed. This puts it squarely in the model space of a sport cruiser.
That sport cruiser concept carries through with the 25.6-inch seat height and 62-inch wheelbase. With a wet weight of only 578 lb, the Scout is at home pretty much anywhere, from the freeway to the canyon road to the coastal highway. ABS is standard on all Scout models, and 298mm vented single rotors are standard front and back.
For 2020, the base Indian Scout comes in two flavors: The Scout itself, and the Scout 100th Anniversary Limited Edition (only 750 will be made), marking the century that the Scout name has been used. The major differences between the two are that the 100th Anniversary edition has a special badge between the V’s of the engine, a chrome beach bar instead of a cruiser bar, and historical paint, pinstriping, and Indian script tank logo.
