Recharged and Ready to Go

Just about three short months after a catastrophic fire destroyed all the bikes and much of the equipment of MotoE, the racing series is back to testing and on track to complete its revised schedule. According to Visordown, the Energica bikes that make up MotoE are ready to go and the next steps are being taken to make it a success.

MotoE was set to start back in March of this year at Jerez. However, a horrible fire claimed all the race bikes and their charging equipment. It was later determined that a short circuit in some of the equipment is what ultimately caused the fire. It led to the fire that claimed the racing series’ future. However, MotoE vowed to make a comeback, and it has.

Race officials came up with a revised schedule and made the most of a bad situation. It was up to Energica to build the bikes, which they have, and now everything seems to be moving in the right direction. The new season opener will take place July 7 at the Sachsenring, in Germany. That will kick off the rest of the races in the series.

It’s nice to see MotoE has been able to make a comeback. The setback was truly horrible, but at least no one was injured in the fire that claimed all the equipment and motorcycles. Now everyone can get on with it and race.
