Hi I have a 1958 Thunderbird here in Sydney.
I matched the paint from the underside of an old rear guard because the paint on the top was faded.

Hi there, nice looking ’57 Thunderbird. I have one myself here in Sydney. As far as colours go, I am only aware that they had bronze gold for 1957. Mine is done, I think in an acceptable shade of that colour. You see quite a few of them on the net and the colour seems to vary. But I personally am not to concerned that they need to be absolutely correct (whatever the correct factory shade of gold was!) We should be just pleased that we own and ride one of these great British jobs. They have a black central stripe on the guard with thin white
lining on each edge. I also have a 1958 Thunderbird
(ex Victorian Police Force) with matching frame/eng.
numbers. Had it registered for a couple of years but

ive seen some pics of two tone gold and black tank with gold guards and stripes and black guards with stripes,, can someone tell me was thier a 2 tone option for the 57 6t tbird . or was it just gold with the striped guards for that year,,, also the pics on the internet of the bronze gold shows some different shades .. some are a rich gold and some are pale gold . thier dosnt seem to be a code or formula ,, dose anyone have memories or knowledge on what it should look like ,, thanks for any help regards al
