Triumph’s Class-leading Naked Streetfighter: The Street Triple RS
Contents
The Street Triple RS is one of the most exciting models in the 2021 Triumph line-up. It’s a sharp naked streetfighter that’s designed for high-speed thrills, on and off the track. The Street Triple range has been a staple in the Triumph Motorcycles stable for many years, but the 2021 RS model is in a class of its own.
Drawing power from a British-made and Moto2-derived 765 cc liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder engine, the 2021 Triumph Street Triple RS is capable of producing a pulse-raising 121 horsepower and 58 lb-ft of peak torque. It’s a powerful motorcycle for its class, so it’s no wonder that Triumph has given it the full package of electronic riding aids and top-shelf parts.
The most noteworthy of these include five dedicated riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport, Track, and Rider-Programmable), an adjustable ride-by-wire throttle response, ABS and traction control settings, and self-canceling indicators. What’s more, the new Street Triple RS also comes equipped with Triumph’s own proprietary quick-shifter. It’s a bi-directional unit that allows for smooth and comfortable gear changes.
For 2021, the Street Triple RS is available in two color options: Silver Ice or Matte Jet Black.
The 2021 Triumph Street Triple R starts from $12,850 USD / $14,350 CAD.

The bike looks great!! Also a nice set of improvements this year.
Is the Silver Ice a matte finish? Some of your photos look like it has a shine and others look matte. I’ve talked to several different dealers and gotten no definitive answer.
Even Triumph lists the Jet Black as Matte but doesn’t say anything about the silver as being matte or not. I understand the matte is a soft finish and scratches easily.
Thanks
The Silver Ice finish is a gloss finish on the RS model, but a matte finish on the R model. Gloss is absolutely the easier of the two to maintain, as the matte is much less forgiving and shows scratches/scuffs more easily. The gloss color also has a lot of sparkle and shine in it so it looks gorgeous in the sun.
You’ve managed to publish the suspension of the R model instead of the RS model. The RS has an Ohlins rear shock and Brembo M50 brakes and a different Showa front fork.
