The Range-Topping Adventurer: The Suzuki V-Strom 1050 XT Adventure

The top of the range adventure motorcycle in the 2021 Suzuki line-up is the formidable V-Strom 1050XT Adventure. Now, it’s not a 2021 model for residents of the USA, however, for those in Canada, it’s being sold with a 2021 designation—and with a different name: the 2021 V-Strom 1050XA Adventure. Suzuki Motorcycles has different naming conventions for the different countries on some models. Now, back to the important stuff.

Like the other models in the V-Strom 1050 range, the XT Adventure is powered by an impressive 1,037 cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, V-twin engine that produces 106 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque. It also features a full suite of practical riding aids, including IMU governed ABS, traction control, cruise control, selectable power modes, Low RPM assist, an Easy Start System, and more.

However, what really separates the XT Adventure from the others—including other adventure-focused Japanese motorcycles—is the number of adventure-focused accessories that come equipped as standard. Handguards and an adjustable windshield are the most obvious, but the XT Adventure also comes equipped with a mounting bar, USB charging, a center stand, and 37-liter aluminum panniers as standard.

For 2021, the V-Strom 1050XT Adventure is available in a number of color options depending on which country you’re in. In the USA, it’s available exclusively in Glass Sparkle Black. However, in Canada, the 1050XT Adventure is available in Pearl White with Glass Blaze Orange, Champion Yellow with Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Oort Gray with Glass Sparkle Black, or just plain Glass Sparkle Black.

The 2021 Suzuki V-Strom 1050XT Adventure starts from $16,999 USD / $17,299 CAD.
