The Cult Classic Honda Grom Is Back For 2020
Contents
When the Honda Grom first arrived in the USA in 2014, no one could predict just how much of a success the little 125 would. Deemed too small for US roads, and far too impractical for American riders, something about this miniature motorcycle struck a chord with the American public. It became a cult classic – and now the Grom has become an important feature of the Honda line-up. It’s back for 2020, and here’s all you need to know about it.
Known overseas as the MSX125, short for Mini Street X-treme 125, the Honda Grom certainly is miniature in size but extreme in nature.
Powered by a SOHC, fuel-injected, four-stroke, air-cooled 124.9cc engine that’s capable of 9.7 horsepower and 8.0 lb-ft of torque, the Honda Grom might be small in stature but it is bucket loads of fun. With a smooth four-speed manual gearbox, light and nimble handling, snappy throttle response and excellent fuel efficiency—to the tune of 134 MPG—the Grom is the perfect vehicle for urban exploring,
For 2020, the Grom is available in Cherry Red, Blue Rasperry, Incredible Green, or Halloween Orange color choices for the standard trim. However, if you want ABS with your Grom, then you’re choice is limited to Cherry Red only.

Joe, if only I knew what you meant by your comment. Is it sarcastic? Are you secretly telling us something about the Honda Super Cub? But then I saw the same thing under the Honda Grom and didn’t know what to think.
“… a bike that jumps out of gear without warning, that has more neutrals than gears, and requires you to plan your braking a week in advance will always get my vote.”
