GoldenTyre GT 201 Dual-Sport Tires
(June 3, 2013) Golden Tyre (actually “GoldenTyre”, all one word), an Italian motorcycle tire manufacturer, is selling DOT (also E-Mark approved) motorcycle tires in the U.S.A. after having established a U.S. office over one year ago.
Tire selections include motocross tires, flat track tires, enduro tires, dual sport tires and more.
The GoldenTyre GT 201 dual-sport tire shown above appears to be something like an 80/20 that is slightly “knobbier” than something like a Pirelli MT90 A/T and in the neighborhood of the Bridgestone Trail Wing TW41 front and TW42 rear OE tire on the Suzuki DR650.
From GoldenTyre regarding the GT 201: “On-off road tire for high performance enduro bikes. The particular layout of knobbing is specifically designed to offer the best grip on the road and off-road situations. It provides good traction on every terrain and high resistance to aquaplaning when riding on wet conditions. The reinforced carcass gives a better comfort, grip and stability at full load.”
GoldenTyre GT 201 Front (Above) and Rear (Below) Specifications.
GoldenTyre GT 216 Front and GT 523 Rear
The GoldenTyre GT 216 front and GT 523 rear shown below appear to be 10/90 (street/off-road) motocross tires that meet DOT road specs.
